People who do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu are never the ones to start fights. They're the ones who do everything in their power to avoid fights. But if a fight has to happen, they are ready to defend themselves. So no, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is not violent. As far as your body goes, the exercise involved may be tough for you at first. But you're welcome to go at your own pace. This isn't the army or anything! We're here to support you and help you succeed. It may be hard, but not enough to cause injuries. It is just hard enough to form a great calorie-burning workout.
Not at all! In fact, many of our students are those who didn't enjoy other sports. Many of them were not athletic before joining this class. Now they're in better shape than anyone else they know. They're lean fit and feeling great! So if you're not athletic already, don't worry, we'll help you get there.
Any physical activity can lead to injury, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is no exception - but because we place so much care in keeping you safe .... We hardly EVER see injuries here. We guide you through the correct way to do each technique. This way, you don't harm your body. We also show you how to stretch properly, further reducing your chances of injury. You go at your own pace, so you don't force your body to do anything it's not ready for. Students who pick up on BJJ quickly are just as valued as those who need to slow down, and learn at a different pace.

I've been coming to Just Train for a little over 2 years now, and I can't put enough emphasis on how much it has changed my life for the better. From losing weight and looking better, to building the confidence that eluded me for so long. Just Train is a one of the kind place with very knowledgeable and kind instructors. The Gym has a wide array of classes and disciplines and is great for people of all experience levels. I don't feel cliche in saying that everyone at Just Train has become a second family to me, I even proposed to my Fiancee there. Stop in and learn how Just Train can change your life for the better!
As others have said, this is a fantastic martial arts/fitness facility. I can't say enough about how fun and inviting the environment is. I have been taking Jeet Kune Do for a couple of months and I am definitively hooked. The instructors are all truly masters of their craft, but also excel in their roles as teachers. Whether you are interested in the martial arts or the fitness classes, you will work hard, but will enjoy every minute of it.
This is an awesome place to work out. The trainers are great no matter which of the classes you take. They offer several varieties of fitness classes aimed at getting you to be your best you. They always have a modification if you have a bad knee, back, etc. so don’t let that stop you from coming in. Sometimes I’ve had a bad day but I go anyway as I know I’ll feel better mentally and physically when I get done. This isn’t one of those muscle gyms where you are intimidated by people who have been going awhile. Here, everyone is friendly and wants to see you succeed as much as they have. Look forward to seeing you on the mat!
One of the best martial arts places around! Four different types of martial arts along with kickboxing, body forge, and primal conditioning. There is an upstairs along with a downstairs training and also outside as well when the weather is nice.
